Eva Crisler is a native of Goodman, MS, and lifelong resident of Jackson. She attended Durant Attendance Center in Durant, MS. She has over 20 years of Social Services Administrative experience.
Mrs. Crisler has held numerous positions in the field of social work and has assisted countless families
across the state with their nutritional, healthcare, and transportation needs.
In 2000, Mrs. Crisler joined Friends of Children, Inc., during which time she handled more than 250 family
service cases for needy families throughout the Central Mississippi area. She was instrumental in keeping
families together, while assisting them in meeting some of the most basic needs.
In 2014, Mrs. Crisler was hired as the Manager of Family and Youth Division with the City of Jackson. In a short period of time, she was successful in revamping the Summer Youth Program, and assisted over 300 Jackson youth receive employment opportunities in various job fields. Ms. Crisler also assisted senior citizens with receiving meals and transportation to and from medical appointments.
In 2015, Ms. Crisler became one of Jackson’s newest entrepreneurs, when she opened her own realty
company, REL Affordable Houses. She has maintained several homes in the Jackson area; keeping each of her properties properly maintained and consistently occupied. She is in the process of closing the deal on at least two other properties within the year.
The only girl of four siblings, Ms. Crisler pursued education with passion and determination, and became the first in the family to receive a college degree, earning a Bachelor’s in Professional Interdisciplinary Studies from Jackson State University. And few years later she obtained a Master’s in Education Technology from JSU. Ms. Crisler is currently in the dissertation phase to complete a Ph.D. in Public
Policy and Administration at Jackson State University.
Ms. Crisler is a member of New Jerusalem Church, and the President of the Capitol City Corvette Club.
Her hobbies consist of reading, walking, gardening and shopping.
Eva Crisler is married to Marshand Crisler. Together, they have 10 adult children.
